Brembo Introduces All-New CCM-R Plus Disc

This new CCM-R Plus disc will take its place alongside the existing Performance CCM-R disc and is a product designed for use in conjunction with organic race pads.

Brembo, a world leader and innovator in automotive brake technology, is introducing the CCM-R Plus disc, the new carbon ceramic material brake disc for the racing, hypercars and top sportscars markets, at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The new Brembo CCM-R Plus disc is the product of many years of experience accumulated by Brembo in the field of carbon brake materials used in Formula 1, combined with the expertise acquired by the company in CCM applications for road use.

The CCM-R Plus uses a 3D structure of long carbon fibers in a carbon matrix and has a special coating which delivers the following advantages:

– increased durability and wear reduction for both the disc braking surface and the pads

– improved friction coefficient resulting in higher and more stable friction with no pre-bedding required.

This new CCM-R Plus disc will take its place alongside the existing Performance CCM-R disc and is a product designed for use in conjunction with organic race pads.

Brembo CCM-R Plus disc has been designed to show its true colors in endurance applications, and wherever there is the need to disperse substantial amounts of energy, while delivering exceptional durability and unfaltering performance.

Brembo is introducing the CCM-R Plus disc, the new carbon ceramic material brake disc for the racing, hypercars and top sportscars markets.

Selected materials and original processes, researched and optimized to produce the Brembo CCM-R Plus disc, reflect the state of the art in technologies applied to carbon ceramic discs and have led to the creation of a product with superior engineering features.

In addition, the experience acquired in making carbon discs for Formula 1, combined with use of the most innovative computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modelling techniques, has led to the development of a venting system for the Brembo CCM-R and CCM-R Plus that ensures discs and pads temperature reduction, under any dynamic condition.

Given its exceptional specifications, the Brembo CCM-R Plus disc can claim a position of absolute pre-eminence over all carbon ceramic products currently used in the world of competition motorsports and hyper cars.
