Falken Tires Introduces The All-New Wildpeak A/T4W

As a follow-up to its best-selling product, the Wildpeak A/T3W, Falken Tires, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries of Japan, has officially launched its newest all-terrain tire offering: the Wildpeak A/T4W. From backcountry trails to the open road, the all-new Wildpeak A/T4W is built to help drivers tackle any terrain. Featuring the industry’s 3PMSF symbol for severe snow conditions, the A/T4W was engineered to perform in harsh winter conditions, with full-depth sipes providing traction for the life of the tire.

“After the incredible success of the Wildpeak A/T3W, we had our work cut out for us to ensure the A/T4W could deliver upon expectations,” said Rick Brennan, Falken’s Vice President of Strategic Planning. “After years of development, we’re eager and proud to introduce the Wildpeak A/T4W to our customers. With a longer mileage warranty and improved towing capability, we’re confident we’ve taken our best-selling tire and made it even better.”

Featuring staggered shoulder blocks, and proprietary 3-ply DURASPEC Sidewall Technology on select sizes, the A/T4W provides all-terrain confidence and rugged durability. Incorporating Falken’s proprietary DURASPEC Three Ply Sidewall technology ensures the Wildpeak A/T4W can withstand extreme off-road conditions, similar to the brand’s Wildpeak R/T and Wildpeak M/T tires. Select sizes of the Wildpeak A/T4W feature Falken’s DURASPEC 3-ply sidewall construction, while all other sizes utilize a two high-ply turn-up construction to provide an added layer of protection.

“In some ways we wanted to keep the foundation of what made the Wildpeak A/T3W so great,” said Tsuyoshi Johnson, Falken’s Director of Product Planning. “The tread pattern is very similar to that of its predecessor, and the sidewall looks familiar. We were able to make improvements by incorporating a new rubber compound, increasing tread rigidity, and introducing Heavy Duty LT-rated sizes to take our all-terrain offering to the next level.”

The increased tread rigidity, along with the introduction of Heavy Duty LT-rated sizes, ensures the A/T4W delivers an improved towing experience compared to the A/T3W. “We know this is a tire our customer base has been anticipating for some time now,” said Brennan. “We’re excited to bring the A/T4W to market, and can’t wait to hear what customers think of our newest product.”

As of January 2024, the A/T4W will be offered in up to 96 sizes with rim sizing available from 15- to 22-inch. Popular fitments include Chevrolet’s Colorado and Silverado, Ford F-Series, Jeep Cherokee, RAM trucks, and Toyota’s 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra.

The Wildpeak A/T4W offers a 65,000-mile Limited Tread Life Warranty for non-LT sizes (60,000 miles for LT sizes) and is backed by Falken’s 30-Day Ride and Road Hazard Protection Guarantees. For more information on the Wildpeak A/T4W, be sure to visit Falken’s website.
