Brock Heger Goes Back to Back at the 2026 Mint 400 in Dominant Fashion

Brock Heger continues to rewrite the record books. The Polaris RZR Factory Racing driver delivered a commanding performance at the 2026 Mint 400, securing the overall victory and giving Polaris back to back wins at one of the most prestigious races in off road motorsports. Behind the wheel of the RZR Pro R Factory, Heger also made history by becoming the first Limited class SxS racer to complete the grueling 400 mile course in under seven hours.

Heger crossed the finish line with an incredible time of 6:57:56, setting a new benchmark for the event. Polaris teammate Mitch Guthrie Jr. joined him on the podium with a strong second overall finish, while the RZR Pro R platform powered six drivers into the top ten.

A Record Setting Performance in the Desert

The Mint 400 is known for its brutal terrain and punishing race format. The 400 mile event is broken into four 100 mile laps, with the course becoming increasingly rough as hundreds of vehicles tear through the desert. It is the kind of race that rewards durability, suspension performance, and consistency, all strengths of the RZR Pro R platform.

Heger set the tone early by qualifying on pole position, posting a time 11 seconds faster than second place. Mitch Guthrie Jr. qualified fifth, Ronnie Anderson sixth, and Cayden MacCachren eighth, giving Polaris a strong starting lineup.

When the green flag dropped, Heger launched into the lead but encountered early race challenges that briefly set him back. Thanks to quick work from the RZR Factory Racing crew, he returned to the course and began charging forward. By the halfway point of lap two, Heger had climbed into second place and was closing in on the leader.

Charging to the Overall Win

Once Heger made the pass for the lead, he and co driver Justin Wilson never looked back. The duo laid down an unprecedented pace, pushing the RZR Pro R Factory across the punishing terrain while maintaining control and speed. The result was one of the most impressive drives in Mint 400 history and a historic sub seven hour finish.

Behind Heger, Mitch Guthrie Jr. delivered a smooth and consistent race to secure second overall. Ethan Groom fought through the rough desert to finish fourth, while Cayden MacCachren ran strong throughout the event before a final lap issue dropped him to seventh overall.

Polaris racers continued to fill the leaderboard with Brayden Baker finishing eighth and Blake Wilkey rounding out the top ten. The results reinforced the performance, durability, and race proven capability of the RZR Pro R Factory platform.
